According to Google, Perplexity AI is an “AI-powered search engine that uses natural language to provide answers to user queries.” (Yes, I asked a search engine about an AI. That’s the world we live in now.) I became aware of Perplexity when someone on the Authors Guild forum mentioned inputting his name into Perplexity and getting back a fairly accurate biography of himself. Here’s a sample regarding my writing career to date:

McSweegan’s work has been well-received; his novels have garnered positive reviews for their historical accuracy and engaging storytelling. His ability to weave complex themes into accessible narratives has earned him a place among contemporary authors in historical fiction.

Overall, Edward McSweegan exemplifies a successful transition from science to literature, enriching both fields with his diverse talents and insights.
